Why Financial Planning Makes Sense Now!

Jonathan Wilson, CFP® began business in 1994 as a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors. As all CFP® licensees are encouraged to specialize, Wilson identified financial planning for parents with college bound children as an area of particular interest.

This college planning focus has spawned other ventures within the college planning field – such as the development of SAT Preparation, and Speed Reading Courses, as well as individual tutoring, college placement, scholarship packaging, and assistance with financial aid applications.

To ultimately increase his flexibility in the field, Wilson founded his own financial planning firm in 1996. Serving as a full service financial planning/ investment management source, Wilson provides investments through Silver Oak Securities, Inc. 3339 North Highland Drive Jackson, TN 38305 – member FINRA & SIPC, and insurance services through a vast array of top flight carriers.

As a client of the firm, Wilson will assist you in day to day management of investments, (including the management of individual securities and mutual funds), insurance (life, health, and disability), college planning, and retirement planning. He also provides specialized consulting services for individual and business clients. Wilson also works with companies to offer more comprehensive group benefit packages to their employees.

Most of Wilson’s clients fit the following profile (although it is not necessary to fit this profile to work with the firm):

· Married, and Under age 60     

· Parents of one or more children still living in the home     

· Often business owners, but not always
