The Tutoring Module can be specified to cover SAT Preparation, and/ or Speed Reading,

Most students are fully capable of achieving the score improvement (SAT Prep), or word per minute increase (Speed Reading)  through our classroom environment, but in many cases (whether the topic is SAT Preparation or Speed Reading) combining the class with a 4-hour individual tutoring module is recommended for maximum score improvement.

Whether taken in conjunction with the course, or in a "stand alone" setting, Individual Tutoring is a great opportunity to leverage the strengths of the teacher on the weaknesses of the student. 

1 on 1 training provides the ultimate approach to SAT Prep and Speed Reading when it can be done in addition to the course. 

In all cases, improvements are maximized due to my ability to focus solely on the student's weaknesses the entire time.  This presents unique opportunities for above average improvements.

Unlike other Carolina College Prep offers, tutoring is a "purchase of time" and does not come with any type of guarantee, or refund policy.

Tutoring sessions cost $100 per hour, and are sold in 4-hour modules.  Most students schedule two 2-hour sessions 1 week apart.  The sessions are generally held throughout the week (after school).

You can deduct $100 off the retail price of tutoring when the purchase is "Bundled" with another purchase (eg: you purchase the SAT Prep course with a tutoring module).  See Bundled Discounts.

Internet SAT Tutoring  (NEW IN 2005!)
I have developed an experimental 6 assignment internet based tutoring service (currently priced at only $195).  Using e-mail, students are forwarded 6 separate assignments that take about 6 total hours to complete.  After working each assignment, feedback is given to the student, and supplemental recommendations and strategies are provided (based on perceived weaknesses).  I believe that this can be an effective solution for the busy student, or the student that lives out of town, but I have not tested enough students to fully measure its worth.  If you're interested in "joining the experiment," please let me know by calling the office at 803/957-0459 or emailing me at jwilson@carolinacollegeprep.com.

Carolina College Prep's preference is to NOT offer Individual Tutoring as a "stand alone" purchase when a class is also in session.  If we had our preference, we'd tutor everyone (instead of teaching the class), but time limits the firm's ability to accomplish this feat - and recommend that you consider the SAT Prep course as your first option for success. 

That said, students in the class will receive preference in scheduling tutoring sessions over those making stand alone tutoring purchases.
