Testimonials from Parents and Students
Parents
- ¨ The score improvement was great, but I was mostly impressed with the motivation
that my child gained from you – not just on the SAT, but in school, and in all things
measurable. You, or your course, I’m not sure which - has ‘transformed’ our boy.
I can’t thank you enough! - Mrs. Hamblin
- ¨ J.T. met with you at the Lexington Library for a 4-hour tutoring module, and improved
his score 120 points and went from a 1240 to a 1360. We were so thankful after he
got those scores, and I was amazed at the points you were able to put on his score
in such a short time. That score secured his admission to Furman Honors, USC Honors,
and Davidson Honors. I wish we would have known about you for my older daughter,
but I’m spreading the word to everyone I know now. - Brenda Brittingham
- ¨ My boy is the kind of kid that kind of keeps to himself most of the time, so when
he called me in the middle of school today, I immediately thought, "Oh no, what's
he done now?" Of course, I was thrilled when he told me he was calling to pass on
how he’d done on the October SAT. He was up 160 points! I'm not sure he's ever
been that excited about something relating to academics, and we have your course
to thank. ~ Hugh Wilson (no relation to me)
- ¨ My daughter Meghan has tried to call you several times to tell you the good news
on her SAT scores. Meghan took your May SAT class in Florence, SC. Before your class,
Meghan got a 970 total on her SAT. After your class her score went up 180 points
to an 1150. Needless to say we are thrilled! Her math score alone went up 120 points.
Since we now know she is capable of a better score, her next goal is 1200. She will
be attending your summer camp in July in Columbia. Thank you for your help. - Carolyn

- ¨ Just wanted to give you a quick update. Carson’s scores came up again this time.
He now has a 1250 (620 Critical Reading/ 630 Math). This allows him to meet all the
requirements for the Palmetto Fellowship, and to qualify for some nice academic awards
from the colleges he is looking at. Just to remind you, his baseline SAT score was
a 1110. After taking your May 2009 course he scored an 1140 (up 30 points). He took
the course again and on the October 2009 SAT scored an 1170 (up 30 additional points).
He took your course a third time for the January 2010 SAT (retaking the course is
free regardless of how many times you retake it), and scored a 1250 (up an additional
80 points). Since we began taking your course, his score has increased 140 points.
It was certainly worth the investment. I will encourage other parents to get their
children to take the course, and be willing to stick with it 3 or 4 times. Thanks
for your help. My son is really proud of his SAT score now. - Clyde Nance
- ¨ Jonathan, I am very remiss in sending this BUT Nes did it!!!! He made a 700 on
the nose in Math! (This score is significant because it garnered him a 1400 on the
SAT, and qualified him for the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship worth $30,000 over 4
years - on the June SAT - which he took on the same day as his high school graduation.)
We were still in Camden after 1:30, and his graduation in Sumter started at 2 PM,
but he got there in time for the Valedictorian speech. You were right in your prediction
that it would be a worthwhile adventure. Many, many thanks for your help. Nes would
make a good poster boy for you now!! My daughter is a 10th grader this year, so I'm
sure our paths will cross again. Best wishes! - Carole Arnette
- ¨ [True to her promise, Mrs. Arnette’s daughter started the course (following in
her brother’s footsteps) a few years later, and we received this from Mrs. Arnette]:
I know you have been hearing from many parents in Florence about the upcoming Columbia
class because I’ve been telling everyone about you. Adele is planning to participate
in that course too. You will be pleased to know that after the last Florence Course,
she jumped up 90 points to an 1170. We are crossing our fingers for that last 30
points ASAP! Thanks! - Carole Arnette
- ¨ We are simply blown away - Matt scored a 1330 on the May SAT, 90 points higher
than before! We are so pleased. You ROCK! - Wendy Floyd
- ¨ Here are Nico’s new SAT scores. Math = 600 (up 60 points) Critical Reading = 600
(up 120 points). We are up 180 points through your course, and he has a 1200. He’s
a junior. When should we get back into your course again? Liza Legaspi
- ¨ My son’s score improved a 140 points! Thanks! - Mrs. Rast
- ¨ Hi Jonathan, Mission Accomplished! Our son got his June SAT scores today, and got
a 620 on Math and 630 on Critical Reading. That is an increase of 100 points following
his two private sessions with you the week before the June SAT. Thanks to all your
help he’s a Palmetto Fellow! Thanks so much! Mrs. Fitzgibbon
- ¨ Thanks so much for helping my son with his SAT score. He had quite an attitude
about taking the course since he enjoys his day dreaming time. He kept his attitude
at bay, and I must say that you are tops in my book now. He came home the first day
and said he actually enjoyed it! I think he was really impressed with you. Thanks
again for your help, and for inspiring my son. I’m not quite sure what you did, but
he doesn’t impress easily. I am so pleased. - Mrs. Baker
- ¨ I won’t forget you! Thanks! - Mrs. Weathers
- ¨ Well I’ve just got to tell you, when we opened up our son’s SAT scores, we nearly
fell out of our chairs. He improved in every section (70 points total), and we simply
couldn’t be more happy. He now has a 1350 (Critical Reading & Math), and is eligible
for a whole lot more scholarship money than he would have been before we began working
with you. Use me as a reference anytime! - Mr. Croom
- ¨ My son’s score went up 130 points. He couldn’t have done it without your help.
Thanks! - Mr. Levy
- ¨ Mary Grace’s score is already up 100 points from just the first time through the
course. We are really excited to see how much more she can improve in the fall after
more time in your course! Very much appreciated. - Mrs. Thomas
- ¨ The second time through the course my son’s score improved a 140 points – which
is what we were hoping for! Thanks! - Mrs. Christmus

are as follows: Critical reading 61 (94th percentile), Math 64 (96th percentile),
Writing skills 61 (96th percentile). Needless to say, we want you to work with her
again this summer. – Mrs. Kocher

in November by 200 points!!! Our initial goal was to “crack” a 1000… now he’s 10

improved an additional 30 points on the following SAT).
- ¨ Jonathan: Tyler's highest Math score is now a 560. His highest Critical Reading
Score is a 610. He improved 140 points after taking your course, but wants to go
to Clemson, (so he will be in your next course needing at least 30 more points).
Thanks. Diana Floyd

- ¨ Coach, I got my June scores in a few weeks ago, and I wanted to let you know how
I did. This time I got a 1360! The breakdown was a 610 in the Math, and a 750 in
the Critical Reading. [His baseline Math score (pre course enrollment) was in the
low 500 range, and the baseline Critical Reading score around 600 ~ resulting in
a 200 plus point score improvement in the course]. It been great! - John Behnke
- ¨ Hey Coach! I just wanted to let you know that my June SAT scores came in today.
I ended up making a 590 in critical reading, a 700 in math, and a 650 in writing.
So I ended up making a 1290. But I made a 600 on my last critical reading so I guess
I actually have a 1300 (this is the correct calculation). I really appreciate all
the time you spent with me to try and improve my math scores, it seemed to really
pay off,as I improved 80 points! I guess I should now focus on Critical Reading for
the next SAT in order to make my score look really good (: Thanks. - Mandy Smoak
- ¨ Hey Coach, I wanted thank you for helping me improve my SAT scores. Your SAT prep
classes have helped me so much!!! I wanted to let you know that my math score has
gone from a 560 to a 650 and then to 740! My reading is currently at a 610 ,and I
was wondering how I should go about improving that score. My goal is to have a 1400
in the SAT. If I improved my reading by 50 points, I could have a 1400. What should
we do next? Thanks again for everything you’ve already done for me. - Emily Brittingham
- ¨ Hey Coach Wilson! Just checked my March SAT scores. I now have a 1220 on the SAT
- I’ve got the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship now ($7,500 per year for 4 years)! My
math score went up from a 480 to a 570 this time (90 point score improvement) - with
the Writing Section I have an 1870. Thanks for your help. - Molly Brandon
- ¨ Coach! I just received my first SAT scores back, from the March 14 SAT. I got a
600 on the critical reading, 710 on the math, and a 580 on the writing. I am so excited
to have received this score (a 1310), and have your SAT course to thank. I was only
supposed to get a 1250, according to my PSAT scores. Thanks so much! - Jessica Tobey
(not every student enters our course with a ‘baseline score’).

and I couldn’t have done it without your help. - Katie Chapman
- ¨ Sorry I never got back to you sooner, but I got an 1120 on my November SAT (which
was up 100 points from my October SAT), but on the December SAT I got an 1030 or
something around that, but I think that was because I hadn't attended hardly any
of your classes that month. So thanks so much for all your help and helping me get
the Life Scholarship (: Thanks again - Meaghan Fox
- ¨ I am writing to thank you for all the help you gave me with the SAT. My score increased
by 120 points, (170 if you include the writing section). I look forward to seeing
you very soon in both the SAT Prep classes, and the Speed Reading classes this fall.
- Katrina Knight
- ¨ I needed a 1200 (on the SAT) to get the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship. After taking
Coach Wilson’s class, my score went up 70 points, allowing me to qualify for the
Palmetto Fellows Scholarship. The course was worth a couple extra thousand dollars
in scholarships each year. - Cari Walsh
- ¨ Hey there Coach, it's Caroline Jones! I was enrolled in your June SAT prep class,
and it worked wonders for my score. I went up 80 points to an 1150. I am taking the
course for the November SAT in hopes of more improvements then. (There is no additional
cost to retake the course - regardless of how many times a student needs to come
through it to get the score improvement they need).
- ¨ I’ve gone up 120 points so far, so I’m pleased. I still have some work to do to
get the Palmetto Fellows (just 10 points). I’ll keep you posted. - Katrine Victoria
- ¨ Coach: I went up 100 points from the March SAT to the June SAT, and I took the
June SAT with my wisdom teeth having just been removed, so hopefully I can do even
better when I take the test again under more optimal conditions. - Caroline Matthews
